St. John the Almsgiver

Church of San Giovanni Eleemosynario, Venice, Italy

The saint was identified by a label in the church, but he has no attributes and I have not been able to identify the crest at his feet. Wikipedia has a page with 147 crests of Venetian families. Only one of them has a B on it, the crest of the Bonomi family (at left), which uses four of them and does not much resemble the crest in the statue.
